Shiyam Kamal is an experienced Information Systems Specialist and Project Manager with over 18 years of expertise in IT service delivery, infrastructure management, and business operations. At Tuttarvik, he plays a central role in designing and managing technology solutions that meet the evolving needs of public and private sector clients across Nunavut.

Since relocating to the North, Shiyam has contributed significantly to the region’s digital transformation by delivering tailored solutions that address the operational challenges unique to Arctic environments. His work spans a wide range of responsibilities including service desk and NOC leadership, software development oversight, and strategic IT planning.

Shiyam has also led major governance, risk, and compliance initiatives, with deep knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701, PCI DSS, and GDPR. His ability to implement and monitor these standards has strengthened the cybersecurity posture of multiple organizations and ensured regulatory compliance across critical systems.

Before joining Tuttarvik, Shiyam held key leadership positions in industries such as telecommunications, financial services, and managed IT. He has successfully managed Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, led cross-functional technical teams, and executed complex infrastructure rollouts—all while maintaining a strong focus on operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

In his current role, Shiyam collaborates closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure every project is aligned with business objectives and regional priorities. His dual strength in technical expertise and project execution makes him a key contributor to Tuttarvik’s mission to deliver practical, effective, and locally grounded IT solutions throughout Nunavut.
